From Wedding Day to Baby on the Way
As a wedding photographer, I am blessed to witness so many breathtaking moments in couples’ lives, and some couples stay with you long after the wedding day. Katelyn and James are two of them. Their spring wedding at Savanna Gardens was a truly magical affair, with a love so palpable it felt as though you could reach out and touch it. Months later, they shared the most exciting news with me: they were expecting their first child. This joyful in-home maternity session became the next chapter of their story.
Why an In-Home Maternity Session
There is something special about photographing a maternity session at home. Surrounded by their own space, Katelyn and James could relax completely. The images feel like them: warm, natural, and full of the everyday tenderness that turns a house into a home. Natural light and familiar corners became the backdrop for a season filled with anticipation.
A Glimpse of Parenthood
During their session, I caught a glimpse of a new side of Katelyn and James. They were brimming with excitement to welcome their little one, and the love they already held for their baby was so deep that it was an honor to document. Looking back, their wedding day was only the beginning. Their love has bloomed into a new path together, parenthood, and moments like these remind me why I am so passionate about photography: to capture memories that last a lifetime.
Their story began with a San Juan Capistrano Mission engagement session. Planning an in-home maternity session of your own? Inquire about your session to start the conversation.
